The Hamburg Chamber of Commerce is a public law corporation. Pursuant to § 7 para. 2 of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry Act (IHKG) in conjunction with § 3 para. 1 of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce's statutes, the President and the Chief Executive Officer legally represent the Chamber of Commerce. For the ongoing administrative business, the Chief Executive Officer has sole authority to represent (§ 3 para. 2 of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce's statutes).
